Do the irish say 'doll' ?
I'm also from Ireland and the only person I have ever heard use the term 'doll' is Irene from Home and Away. The Irish don't really tend to say "Whats up?" either and please don't disgrace us with the stereotypical "Top a' the mornin' to ya" greeting. Some people do say "How's it goin'?" but most people just say "Hey" (despite how un-broguish it sounds) I advise you to avoid using other stereotypical phrases. For the only accurate Hollywood portrayal of Irish communication watch the movie Michael Collins with Julia Roberts and Liam Neeson. The storyline is untrue and set about 100yrs ago but they represent the balance between the modern generation who barely sound Irish and the cliched rural Paddies. To see modern Irish teenagers youtube 'Jedward' and the song 'Lipstick' that the twins are singing in the eurovision. It's probably not what you were expecting
